Repair Terms & Conditions

General Repair Policy:

  1. It is recommended to back up your device before any repair. Device Repair Yakima cannot be held liable for any data loss or issue with the device that may occur during or after a repair.
  2. I grant permission to Device Repair Yakima to perform any action deemed necessary to repair my device. Furthermore, I release Device Repair Yakima from any liability for any data loss or damage to my device which may occur, or component failures occurring during attempted repair, testing, or at any other time. Device Repair Yakima is not responsible for loss of profit or any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damage occurring during or after device service. Furthermore, I release Device Repair Yakima from any liability for any data loss which may occur, or component failures occurring during attempted repair, testing, or at any other time. Device Repair Yakima is not responsible for loss of profit or any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damage occurring during or after device service.
  3. If the requested repair requires labor and/or parts not specified, Device Repair Yakima may seek your approval for a revised estimate.
  4. All Jobs must be collected within 7 days of completion unless prior arrangement has been made. Jobs that are not collected in this period may be deemed as “Uncollected Goods”, and/or may incur a storage fees. Uncollected Goods may be sold/disposed of after the required time has elapsed.
  5. Liquid damaged devices are not guaranteed to be fixed. Liquid damage can cause problems in the future on devices due to corrosion reappearing. You agree that you do not hold Device Repair Yakima or its staff liable if your device stops working after a repair attempt.
  6. When a phone is dropped, it can sometimes cause microscopic fractures in the board that may cause problems only after a board is removed or repair completed. This may result in different problems arising.
  7. If your device is brought to Device Repair Yakima in a non-working/Damaged condition and we are unable to test the device to ensure other functions are working, Device Repair Yakima will not be held liable for any other functions not working after the repair. We will notify you and you can approve or reject to repair the additional issue at additional cost.
  8. All repair times given are estimates only and cannot guarantee a particular repair time frame. When parts are required, we cannot guarantee delivery times as shipping is out of our control.
  9. By using Device Repair Yakima service you acknowledge that your manufacturer warranty may or may not be voided and do not hold Device Repair Yakima or its staff liable for voided warranties.
  10. Most types of screens/back glass are held in place with adhesive or adhesive tape. Should the back glass/screen lift/detach in any way, please return it to us straight away. We will not cover warranty on glass that is in some way broken, even if the break occurred after the screen/back glass started lifting. If the devices frame is wrapped/bent/twisted etc. We will do our very best to reshape the frame to get the glass/screen to sit flush. Device Repair Yakima will let you know before the device has been picked up about any defects in the frame that may effect the screen sitting flush. If the screen is not 100% flush because the frame is slightly or severely bent or twisted, you agree that this is not a warranty issue, and that Device Repair Yakima will not be held liable or refund any amount, due to a screen break or any other issue that arises from the damage to the frame.
  11. Refunds are not given on custom services such as diagnostics or time it takes to try and solve the issue with your device. Device Repair Yakima reserves the right to refuse any refund request.
  12. Devices brought in for repair or diagnostics that have been previously worked on or opened by you the customer or another individual are not guaranteed to be “fixed” and may have further issues down the road as things such as shorts on the logic board from battery’s not being disconnected, broken cables, connecting the battery before other cables are connected, ect…. These issues can cause more issues later on & Device Repair Yakima does not warranty any work on devices that were previously worked on/opened. Device repair Yakima will not be held liable for ANY data loss, issues or problems with the device.
    Parts Orders:
  13. All parts orders will require a deposit of $50.00 paid before parts are ordered. We can send a payment link via email & text, or you can pay in store. This deposit is not refundable, if you decide to cancel the repair after the deposit has been paid this deposit is used to cover shipping and handling charges.

Payments For Repairs:

  1. Repairs that are not paid for within 7 days after we contact you that your repair is completed will be sent an email & text with a payment link and a notice to pick up your device & make a payment within 7 days to avoid your bill going to collections.
    Diagnostic Fees:
  2. If your device requires diagnostics to find the issue a $75 fee for phones, tablets, & computers will be charged upfront. If you decide to go through with the repair, then the fee will be credited to the total balance of the repair. Diagnostic fees are non refundable.
    Warranty:
    Repairs are covered for 14 days from the date & time the repair was completed. Device Repair Yakima’s 14 day warranty doesn’t include any liquid damage, accidental damage, or new damage to the device after the repair has been completed. Labor chargers are not refundable.
    By signing this work order you agree to the terms & conditions listed above and that you are the owner of this device, or have permission from the owner to have this device repaired.

Post Repair Terms & Conditions:

  1. By signing or clicking here you agree that you the customer have tested & checked out the device and all functions are working as designed and that the repair is done to you the customers satisfaction. Any issues with the device, other than that which was repaired may be repaired at a cost to the customer if not identified at time of pickup.
  2. You the customer agree that there will be no refunds after pickup for any parts or labor associated with the repair service unless the part itself can be proven defective in which case we will refund the part cost to you the customer. Labor costs are non refundable as it takes us time to complete these repairs. Device Repair Yakima will not be held responsible for any accidental damage caused to the device by you the customer during pickup or after picking up the device & you the customer agree no refunds will be given.
  3. Device Repair Yakima tests all devices where possible prior to pick up. If we have not been provided with a passcode we will not have tested the device post repair and cannot confirm everything is working correctly.
  4. Any issues with the parts repaired are only covered under warranty for 14 days & does not cover any accidental damage by you the customer during or after you have left the store.
    No warranty is provided for liquid damage data recovery jobs.

  6. You the customer agree that you the customer are responsible for any estimated costs associated with a loss of business due to any negative review you the customer left online. You agree that these estimates are determined by Device Repair Yakima. You agree to pay or be billed for any estimated loss of business. You the customer agree that Device Repair Yakima can take you to court at any time to collect any estimated losses and any attorney or court fees associated if the review has not been removed prior to filing with the courts.
